Things to Do in Paris 2nd Arrondissement
Paris Attractions and Shopping in Paris- The 2nd Arrondissement district is located on the right bank of the Seine River, adjacent the 8th arrondisement and 9th arrondissement, and hosts many things to see in Paris including an important business district and a number of the original Paris shopping malls, concentrated in the area of the Paris Opéra.
This district contains the former Paris Bourse (Paris stock exchange) and a large number of banking headquarters, as well as the oldest textile district in Paris, known as the Sentier.
The 2nd arrondissment is also the home to Paris's surviving 19th-century glazed commercial arcades inspired by the success of the Passage des Panoramas with its well-lit, dry and paved pedestrian passageways such as the Galerie Vivienne.
